Calling all ‘Scary Movie’ fans, the wait for the latest installment is coming sooner than later.

In a recent social post, Marlon Wayans confirmed that, thanks to overwhelming demand and the massive response to the trailer, the new chapter of Scary Movie will now hit theaters a week earlier than expected.

Originally set for a June 12 release, the film will now drop on June 5, kicking off summer with laughs and a bit of scare.

Marlon shared the update himself:

“We are currently editing for Scary Movie. The bad news is, we’re no longer going to be releasing on June 12. The good news is that due to the overwhelming response and the worldwide excitement, we are releasing a week earlier. That’s right: June 5th is the new date for Scary Movie! We’re starting the summer with a bang and a laugh fest. So I’m really excited about coming early.”
