Charrisse Jackson-Jordan has revealed that her son, Jackson Jordan, was diagnosed with colon cancer at just 27 years old.
The ‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ veteran and her now-28-year-old son have opened up about the frightening health ordeal they privately navigated, including the warning signs he initially ignored and the emotional toll on their family.
Now, they’re sharing his story and the encouraging development that followed.
Full story below…
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Jackson revealed that he began experiencing blood in his stool and changes in his bowel habits in fall 2025.
However, fear of receiving bad news led the model to delay seeking medical attention.
By Thanksgiving, his condition had deteriorated dramatically. After his sister Skylar raised concerns, Charrisse intervened and arranged for him to see a doctor.
Hospital examinations subsequently uncovered a tumor in his colon.
Recalling the devastating diagnosis, the Bravo personality said:
“I was numb and it just didn’t seem real.”
Thankfully, doctors determined that the cancer had not spread.
Jackson underwent two months of radiation followed by four months of chemotherapy, completing treatment in August 2026.
And there was welcome news in September when scans showed no evidence of disease, and he was declared cancer-free.
He will continue undergoing routine monitoring every three months.
The revelation comes as ‘The Real Housewives of Potomac’ returns for season 11, bringing renewed attention to the Bravo franchise.
Jackson and his mother are now using their experience to encourage others to take concerning symptoms seriously, particularly younger adults.
“Even if you’re young in your 20s, you’re not invincible.”
Indeed, the American Cancer Society reports that colorectal cancer diagnoses among adults under 50 have been rising, underscoring the importance of investigating warning signs regardless of age.
