Contrary to prior reports that indicated Bunny’s Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show performance drew an estimated 135 million viewers, official news from Nielsen reveals the final sum is slightly south of that at 128 million.

And while the figure debunks the rumor the Puerto Rican star unseated Kendrick Lamar as the most-watched halftime show ever, the historic showing – which brought in more average viewers than the game itself at 124 million – was still nothing to shake a stick at.

Michael Jackson (Super Bowl XXVII, 1993): 133.4 million

Bad Bunny (Super Bowl LX, 2026): 128 million

Rihanna (Super Bowl LVII, 2023): 121 million

Katy Perry (Super Bowl XLIX, 2015): 118.5 million

Lady Gaga (Super Bowl LI, 2017): 117.5 million

Boasting a series of surprise guest appearances including Lady Gaga, Ricky Martin, Karol G, and Cardi B, Bunny’s showing marked a major cultural milestone as the first time the spectacle was performed entirely in Spanish.

And it wasn’t just TV numbers that spiked.

“…total social consumption of the halftime show — including fans, owned platforms, broadcast partners and influencers — hit four billion views after 24 hours (up 137% from last year). Also, the NFL’s top three most-viewed social posts of all time now come from the Bad Bunny halftime show: ‘Only Thing More Powerful Than Hate Is Love’ (179 million views on Instagram, most viewed clip on NFL social ever); Bad Bunny listing the countries of the Americas before spiking the football at the end of his performance (168 million views on Instagram) and that same clip on TikTok (100 million views),” Variety reports.

Following the performance,  Bad Bunny’s Spotify streams surged by more than 400%, underscoring the impact of the performance’s reach far beyond the Halftime stage.
