Nolan Wells’ mother tells critics to ‘unfriend and block’ her if they oppose her fight for answers

In a new Facebook post, Christine Wonsley said she and Nolan’s father remain committed to seeking a fair, honest and transparent investigation into their son’s death.

The mother of Nolan Wells is once again making it clear that her family’s pursuit of answers surrounding her son’s death is far from over.

In a Facebook post shared over the weekend, Christine Wonsley defended her family’s continued advocacy and reiterated that their goal is not special treatment, but what she describes as a “fair, honest and transparent investigation.”

“If ADVOCATING for our deceased child to have a fair, honest and transparent investigation while asking local authorities to treat his case as if it were their own makes you feel some type of way please UNFRIEND and BLOCK me because this is MY SOCIAL MEDIA PAGE,” Wonsley wrote.

She continued, “We are not asking for special treatment. We just want the TRUTH! His father and I WILL NOT STOP SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH!”

Nolan Wells, 18, was found dead on Horn Island in Mississippi, on July 6 after going out with friends on boats to the island for July 4. In the weeks since his passing, Wells’ family has repeatedly questioned the circumstances surrounding his death and has called for greater transparency from law enforcement.

Nolan’s parents, Christine and Elmore Wonsley, have spoken publicly through interviews, their legal team and social media, maintaining that key questions remain unanswered. Their calls for accountability have drawn nationwide support as the search for answers continues. The state investigation is ongoing; the official autopsy on Wells was recently completed and the findings will be sent for a grand jury review.

For the Wells family, the mission remains unchanged: securing what they believe is a complete and transparent investigation into Nolan’s death—and continuing to press for the answers they say their family deserves.
