T.I. may still be enjoying the Billboard Hot 100 top 40 success of his comeback single ‘Let ‘Em Know,’ but that doesn’t mean he’s resting on his laurels.
After dropping a slew of diss tracks aimed at nemesis 50 Cent, the “King of the South” is redirecting his royal attention to what he says will be his final album – ‘Kill the King.’
Ahead of locking in the official release date for the LP, TIP is serving up another taste from its tracklist – this time in the form of new single ‘Trauma Bond.’
“We a one of one, ni–a, you a none of none / Me and mine ’til the end of time, it’s a trauma bond (Hahaha) / I say, it’s me and mine ’til the end of time, it’s a trauma bond,” he raps over Mr. Hanky production.
Beyond using its accompanying visual to showcase a united front with his family that includes wife Tiny and their children, the clip also features a prominent nod to HBCU band culture – specifically the Tuskegee University Marching Crimson Pipers (one of the most respected college bands in the country).
Look inside to see the Chris Robinson-directed action.
