CBS confirmed that the series will wrap with its upcoming season 2 finale, set to air May 3 (at 10 p.m. ET/PT).
The show centered on Chestnut’s character Dr. John Watson, as he led a clinic specializing in rare disorders while grappling with life after the death of Sherlock Holmes. Blending medical drama with literary roots, the series aimed to carve out a unique space within the network’s lineup.
After debuting in January 2025, the show secured a second season renewal just months later.
However, its momentum ultimately flatlined as CBS pivots toward other titles for the 2026 to 2027 season.
Recent ratings saw the series pull in around 3.1 million live same-day viewers, reflecting a steady but ultimately insufficient performance to secure its future.
Another TV casualty.
