For, the King of Pop’s timeless classic ‘Thriller’ has reached #1 on Spotify’s Global chart for the very first time, nearly 44 years after its original release.

On October 31, ‘Thriller’ danced its way to the summit of Global Spotify with a whopping 6.606 million streams worldwide.

The colossal tally more than DOUBLED the 3.09 million streams the song amassed the previous day, when it occupied the #8 position.

And that’s not all.

As we reported, the Halloween anthem also claimed #1 on Apple Music US, further cementing its seasonal dominance.

The latest victory marks Jackson’s second Global Spotify #1 of 2026, following ‘Billie Jean’s’ chart-topping comeback in June.

And with ‘Thriller’ having returned to the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 following last year’s Halloween festivities, all eyes will be on how the song fares on the next iteration of the coveted count.

Almost 44 years on, the King of Pop continues to reign supreme.

Long live the King!
