The Trump ally targeted the New Jersey Democrat with racist and sexist insults after McIver defended other Black women in politics.
Far-right conservative extremist and ally of President Donald Trump, Laura Loomer, again used a racist and sexist term to attack a prominent Black female Democrat—this time U.S. Congresswoman LaMonica McIver (D-N.J.).
“LaMonica McIver is another ghetto black communist b—h who doesn’t belong in Congress,” Loomer wrote in an X post on Wednesday evening.
Referring to the indictment of McIver by the Trump Justice Department, which has been slammed as politically motivated, Loomer continued, “What does this heifer know about “class” when she was indicted by a federal grand jury for assaulting an ICE agent?”
She added, “What type of Ratchet attacks an ICE agent? This ghetto bitch. That’s who. Keep your hands to yourself, home girl. I stand with our brave @ICEgov agents!”
Loomer’s racist attack was in response to a post from McIver defending a group of Black female Democrats whom Loomer previously called “ghetto Black b—s,” including Florida U.S. Senate nominee, Angie Nixon, U.S. Congresswomen Ayanna Pressley and Ilhan Omar, and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
“Laura Loomer is just as stupid as she is racist, and her comments are disgusting. The women she’s attacking are far classier and smarter than she’ll ever be. We know Black power scares you Laura, but know this about Black women: your BS won’t ever stop us from leading,” McIver wrote on X.
After the personal attack by Loomer, Rep. McIver responded with an image of Loomer before she underwent long-rumored plastic surgery: “I pray every day that Laura Loomer gets the help she so deeply and desperately needs. People get the faces they deserve.”
Dr. Nola Haynes, a political scientist and professor at Georgetown University, told theGrio of Loomer’s latest attack on McIver, “Laura Loomer’s attack tells us nothing about Congresswoman McIver and everything about the contempt some people still have for Black women who dare to hold power without asking permission.”
Haynes, who just interviewed McIver for her podcast “Nola Haynes is Not a Spy,” praised the New Jersey congresswoman as “strong, deeply competent, grounded in her faith, and absolutely clear about who she serves and why she serves them.”
The political expert and professor told theGrio, “Calling a Black congresswoman ‘ghetto’ and a ‘bitch’ is not political criticism. It is racism and misogyny, full stop. And telling her she does not belong in Congress carries an especially ugly message in a country where Black women had to fight for generations simply to have a voice in our democracy.”
She added, “LaMonica McIver belongs in Congress because her constituents put her there. Her strength, her faith, her intellect, and her service speak for themselves. No racist insult can diminish that.”
Loomer, a conspiracy theorist and frequently controversial figure in conservative politics, has emerged as an influential ally in President Trump’s orbit. She reportedly played a role in Trump’s firing of six national security officials whom she deemed disloyal to the president.
TheGrio previously reached out to the White House to ask whether the president condemned Loomer’s remarks about prominent Black female Democrats. The White House declined to respond to the request.
