If rumors are to be believed, the highly anticipated ‘Janet Jackson: Control 40 — The Airtab Music Movie’ may not be the only film dedicated Janet Jackson fans (affectionately called the #JanFam) will soon be catching the Pop royal on the big screen.

Jafaar – Janet’s nephew and star of the history-making Michael Jackson biographical film ‘Michael‘ – got tongues wagging during a recent interview with ‘GQ Middle East,’ particularly his commentary about the ‘Rhythm Nation‘ diva’s lack of involvement with the movie about her brother’s life story.

Though his response lacked certainty about the exact cause of her absence, one thing was made clear: she likely has something in the works herself.

“I don’t want to speak too early, but Janet has ideas of maybe doing her own film. So, having someone portrayed in this and then choosing a different actor for her own is just…,” said the 30-year-old Jackson before trailing off.

As fans await official news on a formal Janet biopic, the Antoine Fuqua-directed ‘Michael‘ – which also stars big names like Colman Domingo and Nia Long – is reportedly readying a sequel after scoring a whopping $1 billion at the global box office earlier this year.
