Speaking in New York, Ja Rule made it clear that while tensions with G-Unit aren’t blazing, they’re far from buried.

In a one-on-one chat with TMZ shown above, the ‘Always On Time’ hitmaker addressed his recent mid-air run-in with Tony Yayo, explaining that maturity prompted his public apology, saying:

“I’m a grown man.”

Although he declined the thought of having a sit-down with the members of G-Unit, he gave insight on how they can move forward, saying:

“There’s room for us to be not friends and also not be at war and that’s where I’m at with things right now.”

Still, he stood by defending himself, insisting he won’t back down if pressed, he warned:

“There’s no safe space for disrespect, we ain’t tolerating no disrespect.”

As for any long-awaited reconciliation with 50 Cent? Don’t hold your breath. Whilst there is no war for both parties, friendship doesn’t seem to be happening any time soon.
