Tessa Thompson takes center stage in the modern retelling of ‘Hedda.’

Directed by Nia DaCosta, the film serves as a bold reimagining of Henrik Ibsen’s classic 1891 stage play.

The action follows the narrative of the ‘mad and bad’ anti-heroine Hedda Gabler (played by Thompson).

Haunted by past love and a present complexities, the compelling production chronicles a tension-fuelled night that runs the risk of changing everything… for everyone.

That Grape Juice‘s Chet Kincaid sat down with  Thompson and DaCosta, who opened up about adapting ‘Hedda’ for a modern audience. The pair also waxed candid about her rebellious streak and place in today’s climate.
