A first-look photo has been released of the ‘Wicked‘ star as she takes on the lead role in the upcoming film adaptation of ‘Prima Facie. ‘

In the image, Erivo is seen wearing a grey updo and full judge’s attire, embodying her new character, Tessa Ensler, a young U.K. attorney who’s quickly making a name for herself at the London bar.

Ervio shared her excitement:

“As an actor and executive producer, it means so much to be part of the team bringing Suzie Miller’s indelible Prima Facie from stage to screen.”

The film features a strong supporting cast, including Daniel Ings, Elizabeth Dulau, Noma Dumezweni, Toheeb Jimoh, Harry Treadaway, and Sarah Junillon.

Erivo steps into a new role that will order the star to showcase her dramatic range.
