Ahead of WrestleMania, WWE superstar Lash Legend sits down with That Grape Juice to discuss her upcoming Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, thriving under pressure and working with Iyo Sky.
The biggest event in the professional wrestling calendar is fast approaching as WrestleMania returns to Las Vegas for what promises to be a memorable weekend.
The annual event is where legends are born, and WWE history is written. Hoping to etch her name in the history books on her WrestleMania debut is Lash Legend, AKA, the Boujee Bully.
The former WNBA basketballer made her main roster debut on WWE SmackDown in November 2025 and has established herself as a powerhouse with appearances at the Royal Rumble and Survivor Series.
After Legend joined forces with WWE veteran Nia Jax, the pair defeated Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley to become WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, marking Legend’s first main roster title.
The tag team will put their titles on the line in a Triple Threat match against The Bella Twins and Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss.
WrestleMania 42 airs live on Saturday, April 18, and Sunday, April 19, on the ESPN App in the U.S. and Netflix globally.

That Grape Juice: How are you feeling ahead of WrestleMania?
Lash Legend: I’m feeling really good! I’m super excited. This time of year is always exciting; there’s a lot of anxiety and nerves as everyone wants to be able to have a WrestleMania match. I’m feeling really grateful, coming onto the main roster five-six months ago and now being able to say I’m going into WrestleMania and not just having a match but defending my title [shows title.] That is so amazing. It’s a fun time of year. I’m super excited.
That Grape Juice: How are preparations going?
Lash Legend: A lot of people are very careful with what they do. We are all year round, but there’s something about ‘Mania where you want to look your best and be your best. It’s really cool to lock in and be disciplined and say, “These are my goals, and I’m going to achieve those goals.” You gotta go hard for the biggest show of the year.
That Grape Juice: You’re holding the title there. How does it feel to go into the event holding those? Is it an added weight of pressure, or is that something you thrive under?
Lash Legend: A lot of people call it pressure, but I am very much loving it. I want all that attention on me and that so-called pressure. We [Nia Jax and I] are ready; we are the irresistible force for a reason. We are the biggest and most dominant women’s tag team champions ever. We hold ourselves to a higher standard, but we are built for it, and that’s what we are ready for.
That Grape Juice: What do you think you and Nia Jax bring differently to the table as tag team partners?
Lash Legend: As I said, I don’t think it’s been seen before where you have two girls that are 6ft tall and have the dominance that we have. So, just with the eye test, that’s something completely different. Our dynamic in the ring is really cool; we are both powerhouses. Usually, you don’t see two powerhouses teaming up together. That’s a very unique factor that we have. But she has the experience and has been in the game for so long, and I get to learn from her. Our dynamic is cool, and we show athleticism and what I can do. That’s what we bring to the table, and I haven’t seen that before in the women’s division.
That Grape Juice: She’s so influential, so it’s probably hard to pick one or two things, but what have you learned from Nia Jax?
Lash Legend: I call her my fairy god sister because she has literally made everything so seamless for me. She knows all the dos and don’ts and has lots of experience that she is able to teach me. Every day, I am learning from her. I love her poise and how she is ready for every moment because she is that girl. I see that and I’m like, “We’ve got this.” Confidence is key, and I love that about her.
I have learned a lot from her, not just in the ring but outside of the ring as well. It’s so fun tagging with her and learning from her every day. On show days, I’m just right there with her, taking notes and seeing how she goes about her business. She’s a big, bad heel, but she’s a people person, and I admire that about her. I could write a book on what I’ve learned from my girl Nia Jax.
That Grape Juice: Do you have a favourite WrestleMania moment?
Lash Legend: There are so many that you can look at. Whether it’s Shawn Michaels vs Undertaker, The Rock and Hulk Hogan. But, the ultimate for me and one that kept me emotionally invested was Bianca Belair vs Sasha Banks.
That was at the beginning of my wrestling career, and I don’t think I was at the training centre yet, but I’d just had my tryout. So, to see that, I felt it was just so iconic. It touched me in a way that wrestling hadn’t touched me before. This changed the entire game of women’s wrestling.
That gave me so much more motivation about where I am supposed to be and what I’m supposed to do. They killed it. I aspire to have that type of moment and impact on people.
That Grape Juice: And then you look at the match last year with Bianca, Iyo and Rhea… That was insane.
Lash Legend: Oh my gosh, that would be in the top three for me. They killed it in a triple threat. What’s funny is that my dream match is against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley in a triple threat, and Iyo too!
When you talk about dream matches, there are so many amazing opponents in the women’s division. Every time I step in the ring, it could be a dream match. Just the calibre of women that we have, it’s so amazing that we have so many talented, talented athletes.
That Grape Juice: Hopefully, when Bianca comes back, you can get that dream match.
Lash Legend: Right, I need that!
That Grape Juice: On the topic of Iyo Sky… Did you have a conversation with her before the elimination at the Royal Rumble, as that was a brutal finish?
Lash Legend: Whenever I work with Iyo, literally any time we touch, I’m always going to hand it to her. It’s because of how invested she is in giving her all and how good she sells. She can really take a good beating. I love working with her, and I love the chemistry that we have. Any time we step in the ring, it’s always going to be a moment. I will work with her a million times and be so happy every single time.
That Grape Juice: Yes, she can definitely take a good beating! Did you see that fall on Monday Night Raw, and then she just got up and finished the match?
Lash Legend: Crazy! She is tough, and no one can ever say the opposite
That Grape Juice: What do you hope for the future of the business? Let’s say you fast-forward ten years. Do you have a vision board of things you want to achieve?
Lash Legend: There are a lot of titles that I want to get. I’m going to speak it into existence that I will get them. This title means so much to me because it was my first ever, and that was after being in the business for five years. But, outside of those titles, something that means a lot to me and being on the main roster and seeing how much it has impacted me and helped me in my transition, is the people who have been here want to help us. I keep talking about paying it forward because it’s been so special. You just don’t know. You hear stories of back in the day, where things might have been more catty. Even though it’s still a competition now, they still want to help.
Nia has been an integral part of that. Natty [Neidhart], she is trying to help so many people. Bayley, she has that wonderful women’s summit of trying to help wrestlers who are inspired to make it to the highest level. I also want to do that. I have so much more to learn; I just got to the main roster. I want to make sure that I’m hitting my goal and reaching the expectations that they have for me and that I have for myself.
Once I get to that point in my career, I want to really help so many other people, just like so many people have helped me. That is my biggest goal, and that would help not only myself but also so many other people.
