Stevie Wonder brought his legendary musical magic to London’s O2 Arena for a spectacular celebration of his iconic album ‘Songs in the Key of Life.’

The 25-time GRAMMY winner commanded the stage on Thursday night (November 5) for the second of two London shows on his ‘Songs in the Key of Life Performances – 50th Anniversary Tour.’

And with a catalogue that has soundtracked generations, the music titan reminded the capacity crowd why he remains in a league of his own.

That Grape Juice was in the house for the special night.

The sold-out spectacle formed part of a global trek commemorating five decades since the release of Wonder’s landmark 1976 album.

Such was the demand for the anniversary tour that a second London date was added to the itinerary.

Backed by a magnificent ensemble of musicians and vocalists, the 76-year-old delivered the celebrated LP in its entirety, bringing renewed life to songs that have helped shape the fabric of music for half a century.

From the infectious ‘Sir Duke’ and ‘I Wish‘ to the heartfelt ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ and ‘As,’ Wonder’s arsenal of anthems proved as resonant as ever.

Deeper cuts such as ‘Knocks Me Off My Feet’ and ‘Pastime Paradise’ were equally compelling, while renditions of ‘Imagine’ and ‘Superstition’ added to the evening’s musical majesty.

And London responded in kind, showering the icon with applause and singing along to classics etched into the DNA of generations past and present.

Wonder also paid homage to fellow royal Michael Jackson

Originally released in September 1976, ‘Songs in the Key of Life’ topped the Billboard 200 and earned Wonder his third Album of the Year GRAMMY.

Its impact continues to reverberate, as evidenced by the recent release of previously unheard material from the album’s recording sessions.

Yet, the music maestro isn’t solely looking back.

As reported, Wonder is also preparing his first studio album in over two decades, ‘Through the Eyes of Wonder,’ which is expected in 2027.

With further tour stops in Manchester, Glasgow, and North America ahead, his latest London triumph served as another reminder that true musical greatness knows no expiration date.

Fifty years on, the songs remain timeless, the voice unmistakable, and the Wonder of it all very much alive.
