Jay-Z has brought the curtain down on a colossal two-night London takeover.

Hov returned to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday night (September 5) for the second of two sold-out ‘JAŸ-Z 30’ shows, this time welcoming Brit-bred heavyweights Dave and Sampha into the fold.

Rather than simply replaying the surprises of the night before, the Hip-Hop titan switched up the supporting cast and kept his three-decade catalogue firmly at the heart of proceedings.

As reported on That Grape Juice, opening night delivered a parade of special guests including Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, Giggs, and DJ Khaled, alongside a stadium-sized birthday salute to Beyoncé.

Night two carved out its own identity.

Sampha joined Jay for ‘No Church In The Wild,’ while Dave received a major hometown moment with a performance of his smash ‘Raindance.’ Madonna was among the notable names watching from the crowd.

Elsewhere, the Roc Nation force tore through cornerstone cuts including ‘Izzo (H.O.V.A.),’ ‘Empire State of Mind,’ ‘99 Problems,’ and ‘Dirt Off Your Shoulder.’

The wider ‘JAŸ-Z 30’ celebration salutes three decades since ‘Reasonable Doubt’, while also marking 25 years of ‘The Blueprint.’

The scale of the London engagement itself is its own story. What was initially announced as one Tottenham show quickly became two, with a second night added amid huge demand.

Two packed stadium nights later, London has received a sizeable chapter of the milestone celebration before the Roc Nation mogul heads to Paris and then Los Angeles next month.

Thirty years in and commanding like only he can, Jay left London with little need to argue the point: he reigns as one of music’s most enduring greats.
