While on the carpet at the Essence Women in Hollywood event, Durand had a quick, hilarious moment with the legendary actress who’s now making rounds online.

In a clip captured during an interview with Leah Henry of Leah’s Lemonade, Durand was singing the viral rendition of ‘The Muffin Man’ when Lynn, standing right beside him doing her own interview, had to step in in true auntie fashion.

Let’s just say… she gave him a gentle but firm “hush up” so she could focus

Durand later shared how much the moment actually meant to him, saying:

“As an adult who misses my grandmother and aunts, this was just what I needed — being surrounded by all those women. A gentle gathering, lol.”
