Doechii is booked and busy! And her latest stop is the cover of British Vogue.

Within its inner pages, she dishes on her rise to fame and working on her next album. There is also a special appearance from Lady Gaga, who opens up about her love of the femcee’s music.

The ‘Denial Is A River’ hitmaker says she recognizes her newfound fame and is using it to address what’s going on in the world.

She unpacked how if she can’t be herself, then she can not understand the point of her fame.

A sentiment she echoed during her BET Awards acceptance speech, in which she condemned ICE raids and President Donald Trump sending military forces. She says:

“I’m not that desensitised, and it felt right. I felt like I needed to use that moment, and they were live, so it wasn’t sh*t they could do about it. I was born to do this.”

Mother Monster, who’s an inspiration to the GRAMMY Award winner, popped in for a second to show the rapper some love. She states:

“You don’t often see someone come out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary. That’s Doechii to me. I fell in love with her music and her raw, deeply personal perspective. The power in her words, her vulnerability, the way she rhymes with this wild mix of audacity and emotional precision – it struck me to the core.”

The ‘Nissan Altima’ femcee shared that she is looking forward to working on her next album. Rather than force the wheels in motion, she confirmed that she would wait for the theme of her next project to reveal itself to her. She expressed:

“I know it’s gonna be a similar theme from my last project, of a real, deep vulnerability. It’s gonna be the new lessons that I’m learning, and that’s why I say it’s hard to talk about now, because I’m still learning.”
