The Bad Boy Records founder’s lawyer, Teny Geragos, sent a letter to Judge Arun Subramanian.
In the letter, Geragos asks the court to recommend to the Bureau of Prisons that the producer be sent to the New Jersey prison called Fort Dix.
The ‘All About The Benjamins’ hitmaker’s legal team thinks this is the best place for him to be. This way, he can address his drug abuse issues, and “maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts”.
In addition, the rapper’s safety was touted. This follows his legal team touting the claim that someone planned to stab him in jail.
Other celebrities who have served at Fort Dix have been ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ stars Teresa and Joe Giudice.
Now, Subramanian can recommend a prison for the MC besides Fort Dix. But, ultimately, it’s up to the Bureau of Prisons, and they have the final say.
The mogul has been locked up for over a year at MDC Brooklyn.
