The collection will feature D’Angelo solo, with his family currently reviewing an extensive vault of unreleased recordings to determine the final tracklist. Archer revealed:

“We’ve got an album coming out. Just him. So no collaborations. There are six tracks [so far]. But then we have a whole vault of music that’s never been released. So we’re trying to figure out what we’re going to add, what we’re going to take away… But yeah, there’s a posthumous album.”

Beyond the upcoming LP, the family is also considering a B-sides collection and a separate project celebrating the singer’s love of cover songs.

Most intriguingly, Archer teased an unreleased collaboration involving Mary J. Blige and Michael Jackson; he shared:

“We’re also thinking about a whole album of B-sides. And then we’re also thinking about—because he was big on covers… so there’s several projects down the road.” he revealed. “There’s one with Mary J. Blige and Michael Jackson.”

No release date or official tracklist has been announced. The forthcoming project would mark D’Angelo’s first posthumous full-length album following his death in October 2025, aged 51.
