Cardi B shuts down surgery rumors: ‘I’m very honest about my surgery’

The rapper says her recent weight loss is the result of touring, travel and personal stress—not another cosmetic procedure.

Cardi B is done letting the surgery speculation slide. The rapper took to Instagram Live early Tuesday to push back on renewed rumors that she went under the knife to achieve her current figure, offering a candid, unfiltered breakdown of what she says is really behind it.

According to Complex, the chatter reignited after a recent performance at New York City’s Pacha nightclub. Cardi didn’t hold back in addressing it. “Why every single time that I look snatched up and I look f—g good, y’all always want to be f—g shady like, ‘Oh, she got another surgery,'” she said, per the outlet.

She pointed to her steady stream of social media content, including trips to Paris, London and Venice within a two-week span, as evidence she simply hasn’t had the downtime to undergo and recover from any procedures.

Notably, Cardi has never shied away from transparency about the work she has had done, and she reiterated as much, sharing that she previously underwent two liposuction procedures and a buttocks reduction. “I’m very honest about surgery,” she stressed.

Describing herself as “naturally petite,” the Grammy winner attributed her recent weight loss to her demanding tour schedule following the birth of her son this year. She explained that constant travel, high-energy performances and an adrenaline-fueled routine left her with little appetite on the road.

Cardi also alluded to the emotional toll of her split from Stefon Diggs, with whom she welcomed her fourth child last November. “And then I went through a breakup. Ladies, shall I say more?” she added.

Ultimately, the mother of four made clear she’s at peace with where she stands. “I like my body how it looks right now. I’m comfortable in my skin,” she said, reminding critics they’ve been watching her body evolve “for too many years now.”
