Dolly Parton, the legendary singer, songwriter, actress, and businesswoman whose influence spanned generations, has died. She was 80.

The sad news comes just days after the beloved star discussed her ongoing health issues, which included bouts of dizziness and dehydration. Earlier this year, Parton canceled her planned Las Vegas residency while focusing on treatment and recovery.

She had also been navigating life after the March 2025 death of her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean.

Across more than six decades, Parton became one of entertainment’s most enduring figures, gifting the world classics including ‘Jolene,’ ‘9 to 5,’ and ‘I Will Always Love You,’ while also making her mark in film, philanthropy, and business.

Her extraordinary story was set to reach Broadway in ‘Dolly: A True Original Musical’ next year.
