Beyoncé has paid moving tribute to Dolly Parton following the Country legend’s death at age 80.

Joining a growing chorus of stars celebrating the trailblazer’s life, Queen Bey reflected on Parton’s artistry, humor, generosity, and the privilege of eventually working alongside one of her musical heroes.

Their creative connection memorably came full circle on 2024’s ‘Cowboy Carter,’ where Bey radically reimagined Parton’s signature ‘Jolene.’ The rendition blazed to #7 on the Billboard Hot 100, – notably becoming the song’s first version to reach the top 10.

Parton was firmly Team Bey too.

She repeatedly praised the bold reinterpretation, declaring herself “proud” of what the diva did with her classic. Dolly also appeared on ‘Cowboy Carter’ via ‘Tyrant,’ earning her a fresh Hot 100 entry across a fifth decade.
