Taking to social media, the outspoken rapper questioned why she remains sidelined from UK stages while Ye secures a major three-night slot. Banks suggested that she was on the cusp of a major breakthrough before the bookings were pulled, she wrote:

“Ok sweet so… can the UK rebook all of the canceled Azealia Banks concerts. I was on a roll and about to be prime for the O2 arena.”

Her comments arrive amid renewed attention on both artists’ controversial pasts. Banks herself faced backlash last year over inflammatory remarks, said to be Islamophobic, which ultimately led to the cancellation of multiple UK and European festival appearances.
