Ariana Grande has made her stance crystal clear: she does not want her music soundtracking the political messaging of Donald Trump or his team.

Just months after the Pop force condemned the White House for using another of her songs, a fresh Trump social media post featuring ‘We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)’ has sparked an even more direct response.

According to Variety, the Team Trump TikTok account shared footage of the President walking toward a podium while Grande’s 2024 hit played in the background.

The accompanying messaging touched on gender and transgender participation in women’s sports, while the caption explicitly tagged both Trump and Grande.

The 33-year-old wasted little time distancing herself from the clip, writing in its comments:

“Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false.”

It’s a familiar battle for the singer. In June, she slammed the White House’s use of ‘Bye’ in a video promoting ICE arrests, branding its association with her music “barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense.” Her team subsequently succeeded in having that sound removed.

Grande’s opposition to Trump is hardly new either. Following his 2024 election victory, she publicly acknowledged the “immeasurable heaviness” felt by those disappointed by the result.

This time, though, her message to his administration could scarcely be clearer: leave her music out of it.
