Ariana Grande is putting comfort before couture as she powers through the final dates of her tour following a painful foot injury.

The Pop superstar revealed this week that she’ll be trading her trademark high heels for “cozy footwear” during her London performance after suffering a deep cut underneath her foot.

Grande clarified that the injury isn’t a sprain or muscle issue, but walking and putting pressure on the foot has been difficult.

Still, the show must go on! The ‘Dangerous Woman‘ singer joked that fans may notice she’s “a few inches shorter than usual” onstage, while reassuring them that she’s recovering and has no plans to cancel.

The timing comes as Grande wraps her 10-show run at London’s O2 Arena, bringing the ‘Eternal Sunshine Tour‘ to a close Tuesday (September 1).

With the singer previously teasing a break from the spotlight, the finale could mark the beginning of some well-earned downtime.

i wanted to let you know i will need to be in cozy footwear for this evenings show (and possibly tomorrow’s) as i am bandaged up underneath, recovering from a minor injury. it is not a sprain or anything muscular but
just a deep cut! so when you see me tonight without my signature heels, or even possibly having a little trouble putting weight on that foot, that is why!
but please do not fret.
