The Atlanta Dream star recorded her 30th double-double of the season while helping Atlanta beat Connecticut 103-59.

Angel Reese delivered one of the strongest performances of her season Thursday, scoring 30 points and grabbing 10 rebounds as the Atlanta Dream beat the Connecticut Sun 103-59. The double-double extended her WNBA single-season record to 30, adding another milestone to a season that has already seen the Dream star make plenty of history.

NBC Sports reported that Reese shot 11-of-14 from the field and reached 30 points on a free throw with 5:38 remaining before collecting her 10th rebound moments later.

Reese finished one point shy of her career high while playing just 25 minutes in the blowout. According to the Dream, she became the first player in WNBA history to record at least 30 points and 10 rebounds in 25 minutes or fewer.

The performance came in Atlanta’s first game after a nearly three-week WNBA break for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup. Reese returned from Germany after helping the United States win another gold medal.

Atlanta improved to 27-14 with the victory and continued building momentum ahead of the playoffs. The Dream broke the game open after halftime, outscoring Connecticut 31-11 in the third quarter and 27-13 in the fourth.

Reese wasn’t the only Atlanta player making history.

Rhyne Howard sank her 129th 3-pointer of the season, breaking the WNBA single-season record Sabrina Ionescu set in 2023. Howard finished with 10 points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals.

Allisha Gray also scored 10 points and broke her own Dream franchise record for points in a season, reaching 782.

Connecticut fell to 10-31 with the loss. Olivia Nelson-Ododa led the Sun with 13 points, all scored in the first half.

For Reese, Thursday’s performance continued a remarkable first season in Atlanta, with the Dream heading toward the postseason and their star forward continuing to rewrite the WNBA record book.
