Duane ‘Keefe D’ Davis wasted little time making his next move after being found guilty of murdering Tupac Shakur.

Moments after a Las Vegas jury delivered the landmark verdict, the 63-year-old made a courtroom demand for the return of his seized property and declared his intention to appeal.

As reported, Davis was convicted of first-degree murder with the use of a deadly weapon in connection with the Rap icon’s 1996 killing.

The verdict capped a closely watched trial in which prosecutors leaned heavily on Davis’ own words, including past interviews, recorded statements, and his memoir. Jurors deliberated for less than three hours before finding him guilty.

After the decision was delivered, Davis interrupted proceedings to request the return of items seized by authorities.

Per Court TV, he said:

“I’d like to have my stuff back. Computers, all the phones, everything. And I would like to appeal this matter.”

Judge Carli Kierny explained that the appeal process can begin following sentencing.

That sentencing is scheduled for October 13 at Clark County District Court in Las Vegas.

Davis faces a potential life sentence and will remain in custody without bail until then.

His planned appeal ensures that, despite the historic verdict, the legal battle surrounding one of Hip-Hop’s most infamous murders is not over yet.
