The rapper will lead the Nov. 7 parade and perform with the Marching Crimson Pipers during Tuskegee’s game against Miles College.
Rapper T.I. is set to take on two prominent roles at Tuskegee University’s homecoming celebration, combining parade duties with a halftime performance that builds on his recent musical connection to the historically Black university.
The Atlanta-born artist has been named grand marshal of the homecoming parade and will perform alongside the Marching Crimson Pipers during Tuskegee’s football game against Miles College on November 7. His youngest daughter, Heiress Harris, is also scheduled to sing the national anthem.
TMZ Sports, which first reported the booking on October 15, revealed the plans ahead of the university’s annual gathering of students, alumni and supporters. Tuskegee University subsequently confirmed the appearances in its own announcement outlining the programme for Homecoming 102, themed “A Renaissance Family Affair.”
The appearance carries a musical connection beyond the game-day spectacle. Earlier in 2026, T.I. featured the university’s marching band in the music video for “Trauma Bond,” a track that samples “Ball N’ Parlay,” a signature piece associated with the ensemble. The collaboration brought the Marching Crimson Pipers’ sound into the rapper’s music, creating a natural link between the artist and the institution ahead of homecoming.
The November event will give that connection a live setting, with T.I. expected to join the band on the field during the halftime show. Heiress Harris’ planned national anthem performance adds a family element to the occasion.
Tuskegee’s homecoming football matchup with Miles College is scheduled for November 7 at Cleve Abbott Memorial Stadium. The university lists kickoff at 2:30 p.m. Central Time, with the parade scheduled for earlier that morning.
