Investigators say the individual who died was driving a stolen vehicle. One person died in the crash and two other people, who were in the same vehicle as the wrong-way driver, were hospitalized with injuries.

Food critic and humanitarian Keith Lee is thankful to be alive after a near tragedy earlier this week.

Lee, who relocated with his family to the Dallas area, was driving on I-67 late Thursday night when a wrong-way driver nearly collided with him. On Friday, it prompted him to share a message with his millions of followers about being thankful.

According to WFAA, the driver, who was headed the wrong way on the highway, was driving a stolen vehicle, and one person sadly lost their life. The driver of the stolen vehicle was later charged with intoxication manslaughter.

“Last night we had a near-death experience and this is a testimony,” Lee began in a video obtained by The Jasmine Brand. “If when I say God is amazing and you don’t think I be serious, I don’t know what to tell you. If God wasn’t with me last night, I wouldn’t be here and I mean that wholeheartedly.”

Lee began to detail how he, his wife and a friend were driving on the freeway after midnight when a car in front of him “freaked out” because a car was coming into on-coming traffic. Lee then jerked his car to behind a sand truck while the oncoming car continued going, before colliding into four other vehicles.

“It felt like a movie, it felt like slow motion,” Lee said of the incident. “In my rearview, I see a car try to get out his way, the car go across all four lanes, swerve back to gain control? Slam right into a wall. Wake up this morning, one unalived. Stolen car coming out of Irving, intoxicated man drives right into a car. He drove right past me, y’all. I watched it! If God wasn’t with me, I don’t know who was.”

Lee offered condolences to the family of the individual who lost his life in the crash. The moment nearly prompted Lee to keep the accident and situation to himself but he couldn’t help himself.

“When I woke up this morning, I’m like, if you don’t give Him the glory, if you don’t scream it from the rooftops, what is the purpose of seeing the things you see? If you experience the things you experience with Him? If you don’t glorify Him? If you don’t tell somebody about Him? In Jesus name, amen. I’m thankful to be here and that’s not an understatement. I didn’t understand it yesterday, I woke up this morning overly grateful. It could have been so bad.”
