The Weeknd has teased an unreleased track titled ‘Rio’ during a sold-out performance in Brazil, setting the internet ablaze.

While taking the stage at Estádio Olímpico Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro, the global superstar surprised fans by playing a snippet of the new song featuring Brazilian hitmaker Anitta. 

The crowd’s reaction said it all, as the moment quickly took over social media.

This isn’t the first time the two artists have collaborated.

The Weeknd and Anitta previously worked together on music released in 2025, making a continuation of their creative collaboration.

Adding to the momentum, he recently cleared his Instagram reel feed, leaving only a clip of the teased track.

The preview also marks a notable shift, especially after the Canadian native previously hinted at taking a break from releasing new music. 

As of writing, the release date for the song has not been announced… yet.
