Patrick Xavier Clark, the man accused of killing Takeoff, is requesting access to the bullets used the night of the rapper’s death.

Takeoff’s passing in 2022 shocked the hip-hop world. Nearly four years later, his death still looms large. Meanwhile, Quavo and Offset continue paying homage to him. A new Migos album is also on the horizon, expected to include vaulted verses from the late rapper.

Clark stands accused of firing the shots that killed Takeoff. His trial begins on November 5. According to TMZ, he is going to great lengths to prepare his legal defense.

Specifically, Clark is requesting to examine the bullets from the night of the shooting. The Houston Police Department currently possesses the evidence. Consequently, Clark hopes an independent expert can examine it. His team would use the findings to help build his defence.

Since his arrest, Clark has denied any wrongdoing. He was charged with murder and later released on a $1 million bond. His legal team has stated he has a “valid and meritorious claim for self-defence.”

Following his release, authorities placed Clark under house arrest. During this time, he has avoided anyone involved in the investigation. He also wears a GPS tracking device.

With the trial less than two months away, anticipation is building. Family and friends are hoping for closure.
