Sherri Shepherd is not going without a fight.

The comedienne and host made headlines last week when it was announced that her daytime talk show, ‘Sherri,’ had been canceled after four seasons.

With the news being confirmed by the show’s production company, viewers have been awaiting word from Shepherd herself. A wait that became somewhat elongated after the media maven revealed she had COVID.

Now, though, she finally spoke up and out about the development on today’s episode of ‘Sherr’ (February 9).

Speaking to the studio audience, the 58-year-old said:

“I am truly overwhelmed by the outpouring of love I’ve received from all of you…the intention of this show was always, ALWAYS for you to leave happier than when you came. It has been my dream to have a talk show and I’m so grateful I got the chance to do it for four seasons.”

Continuing, she vowed to keep ‘Sherri’ going in one form or another:

“I want to be clear. I’m not ready to throw the towel in on the show just yet.

We’re going to be airing episodes through the Fall. And we’re going to fight to keep this show…in some wya, shape, or form.

If anybody knows me, they know I’m a fighter. So, I don’t know what it will look like, but I promise I will continue to spread joy.”
