Drake rang in his 39th birthday on Friday (October 24) with a history-making update from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

While it’s no secret Drake (born Aubrey Graham) was already the best-selling artist in the 73-year history of the RIAA, he managed to extend that reign with some jaw-dropping certification upgrades to his catalog.

For context, the term “Platinum” refers to the sales equivalence of 1 million units in the United States.

Thanks to the massive updates above, Drizzy’s catalog now sits at 329.5 million – making the Canadian hitmaker the first artist in American music history to sell over 300 million total records.

In addition to his 96 Gold-certified releases, that 329.5 million is comprised of 11 Diamond-certified titles, 52 multi-Platinum-certified projects, and 95 Platinum-certified efforts.

To date, no artist could ever boast accumulating as many Diamond, Platinum, or multi-Platinum-certified titles.  At writing, the record for Gold releases remains with King of Rock n’ Roll Elvis Presley (155).
