‘RHOP’ Star Wendy Osefo Seeks Dismissal of Fraud Charges, Calls Arrest ‘Illegal’

‘Real Housewives of Potomac’ star Wendy Osefo is pushing back against fraud charges, alleging she was the victim of an “illegal” arrest.

Full story below…

As reported, both Wendy and her husband, Eddie Osefo, were arrested and charged with multiple counts of fraud related to an alleged burglary of their home and the claiming back of seismic sums for items that were found at their home..

Citing documents exclusively obtained, Us Weekly shared that the 41-year-old’s attorney filed a motion on October 17 in Maryland requesting that all charges against her be dismissed due to “defects in the charging document.”

The filing also demands that evidence obtained through what she claims was an “unlawful search or seizure” be suppressed, as well as any wire or verbal communications collected through “unlawful interception.”

Osefo’s legal team further argued that “all admissions, statements, or confessions” should be thrown out because they were “unlawfully obtained.”

The Osefos were arrested on October 9 in Westminster, Maryland. They were eventually released on $50,000 bond.

Interestingly, in her filing, Wendy’s attorney asked that her trial be separated from Eddie’s and requested full access to all witness lists, evidence, and reports.

As of writing, Eddie (an attorney himself) has not yet listed an attorney in his case.

A publicly released statement following their arrest and release read:

“Dr. Wendy Osefo and her husband, Edward Osefo, are back home safely with their family and in good spirits… They look forward to their day in court and ask for privacy as they focus on their family and the legal process ahead.”

As reported, Wendy recently returned to social media with a faith-anchored remark:

“And through it all, GOD remains faithful. Thank you for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers for myself and my family during this time.”

With that, what are…
