‘Dark Horse’ diva Katy Perry rode to the top of headlines this week after reports rang out that she and longtime beau Orlando Bloom have taken a trip to splitsville.

A source close to the couple broke the news to our friends at ‘US Weekly.’

“Katy and Orlando have split but are amicable,” the insider shared. “It’s not contentious at the moment. Katy is of course upset but is relieved to not have to go through another divorce, as that was the worst time in her life.”

With tension said to have been brewing for months, the split – though just announced this week – occurred in early Spring according to reports.

“[They] have been living apart since Katy has been on tour,” the source said in reference to Perry’s ‘Lifetimes Tour‘ which kicked off in April.

Romantically linked since 2016, the couple briefly split in 2017 but reunited early the next year before getting engaged in February 2019.

They share a 4-year-old daughter Daisy Dove.

At writing, Bloom nor Perry has made an official statement about the breakup.
