The four-film lineup is set to premiere weekly starting July 19 and centers around women who lean on faith to overcome obstacles.
Kicking off the block of programming is Chrissy Metz in ‘Faith in the Flames: The Nichole Jolly Story.’ The film is based on the real-life nurse who became a hero during the wildfire in Paradise, California, in 2018.
On July 26, Alexa PenaVega will star in ‘Before Your Father Finds Us’, a drama about a mother protecting her daughter from a violent ex.
Thereafter, Lifetime concludes the lineup with Graham’s film ‘If I Run’ and Patton’s film ‘Finding Faith’.
In the adaptation of the Terri Blackstock novel of the same name, the ‘Duplicity’ actress plays Casey Cox, a woman who’s framed for her best friend’s murder and goes on the run. She uses her instincts, faith, and smarts to uncover the truth.
In ‘Finding Faith’, Patton plays Faith Mitchell, a woman who’s still grappling with her grief after losing her husband suddenly. She loses herself and her faith in God, but family and friends help her with her journey of healing and faith restoration.
Elaine Frontain Bryant, EVP and Head of Programming for Lifetime, explains the network’s decision to dive into faith-based content. She says:
“With these four new films, we’re stepping into the faith-based space in a way that feels authentic, powerful, and deeply emotional. These are stories of healing, hope, and perseverance — and we believe they’ll resonate with anyone who’s ever faced adversity and looked for light in the darkness.”
‘If I Run’ premieres August 2 and ‘Finding Faith’ premieres August 9 on Lifetime.
