From Nicki Minaj to Megan Thee Stallion, Cardi B, Sexyy Red, Latto, Doja Cat, Iggy Azalea, and more, Ariana Grande is no stranger to receiving ample praise from the female Rap community – a testament to her career of genre-bending hits that have blurred the lines of Pop and Hip-Hop much like her idol Mariah Carey.

To the surprise of many, that list of admirers only keeps growing and recently added ‘Okay‘ hitmaker JT.

JT (born JaTavia Johnson) visited ‘Dazed’ magazine to dish on everything from new music to rumors about marrying her longtime boyfriend/rapper Lil Uzi Vert, and so much more.

During the ‘A-Z’ segment of the interview, Johnson surprised by admitting she identified as a Grande super fan (affectionately called #Arianator).

“Her [2018 album] ‘Sweetener’ got me through my prison sentence,” revealed JT who served nearly two years behind bars for aggravated identity theft and fraudulent credit card charges.

Revealing she was first introduced to Ari’s music through her cellmate, Johnson believes it was the Pop diva’s “soothing voice” that helped her manage life in “such a hectic place.”

“Everything she was talking about [on the album], I could relate to,” said JT.

At writing, Grande’s not responded to the heartwarming praise delivered by the former City Girls star.

However, with JT’s yet-titled debut album baking for a 2026 release, who knows if the “stan” admission could lead to a collaboration.
