Christian Louboutin has a brand-new face, and this time, it’s a familiar one.

Rapper and actor Jaden Smith has officially been tapped as the luxury house’s first-ever Men’s Creative Director. Smith will be relocating to Paris to step into the role, where he’ll present his debut designs this January during Men’s Fashion Week in the French capital.

In his new position, Smith will oversee the creation of four collections annually, encompassing shoes, leather goods, and accessories. Beyond design, he’ll also play a role in shaping the brand’s campaigns and events.

Sharing his excitement, Smith called the appointment “one of the biggest honors” of his life, admitting:

“I feel a lot of pressure to live up to everything Christian has done for the house, and stepping into such a serious role.”

The move comes at a pivotal time for Louboutin himself, as he wanted to add some more hands to the team to take the load off.

Speaking on the collaboration, Louboutin shared:

“I found him very interesting, very kind, and very, very humble, and above all, very interesting: the way he is, the way he dresses, the way he thinks.”
