Garcelle Beauvais is speaking up and out about her departure from the ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.’

As reported, the actress made her shock exit from the hit Bravo show during the season 14 reunion.

Indeed, she quite literally walked off set.

Now, as she hits the promotional trail for her new pact with Lifetime (which includes producing and starring in both ‘Tempted by Love’ and ‘Taken At a Truck Stop: A Black Girl Missing Movie’), she has opened up about bowing out from ‘Beverly Hills.’

Speaking with Variety about her dramatic March exit, Beauvais said:

“As great of an opportunity as it was to be on the ‘Housewives,’ it was also heavy on my spirit. Walking away has given me my power back. It’s given me a sense of freedom, and I’m in a good headspace. I want to create. I want to spend time with my family and friends. We live in a crazy world right now, and anywhere you can find joy and hold on to it for a bit is where we should all go. I am enjoying joy, peace, and my life at this point.”

She added:

“There was a moment where I felt like I no longer belonged here. I no longer fit in here. It was definitely a moment of like, ‘This is not for me.’ It just didn’t feel right.”
