Faizon Love is facing legal trouble. Specifically, the Elf and Couples Retreat actor was arrested in Florida on two counts of contempt of court.

The 58-year-old was booked into Hillsborough County Jail on June 16 without bond. He had been arrested days earlier in Riverside County, California, and transported to Florida.

His attorney, Glen Lansky, confirmed the arrest. Lansky told ABC News:

“The underlying case involves a motion for contempt for failure to pay child support.”

The case dates back to 2019 and involves a woman named Tiffany Lee. According to court documents, Love allegedly owes $250,000 in child support.

Earlier this year, Love claimed he could not pay the amount. He stated that his income for 2025 was $0, and his highest gross income over the last five years was only $13,000.

Love missed an April hearing, citing a medical emergency. Nevertheless, a judge found him in contempt and ordered him to surrender for a 90-day jail sentence by May.

This arrest is Love’s latest legal issue. He also faces a pending felony assault charge in San Diego over an alleged 2024 hotel incident. In 2017, he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanour assault charge at an Ohio airport.
