Erika Kirk, wife of Charlie Kirk, has broken her silence on late-night TV host Jimmy Kimmel‘s comments about her late husband.

Erika spoke on the cancellation of Jimmy Kimmel Live for the first time in her press run about her husband’s death. 

As reported, the show was abruptly benched for six days, for comments surrounding the assassination of political podcaster Charlie.

During an interview with Fox News, Erika shared that she never considered Kimmel’s comments a major issue and that if the late-night host feels like he should apologize, then he should go ahead and do so, but only if he means it.

She said:

 “If you want to say ‘I’m sorry’ to someone who’s grieving, go right ahead. But if that’s not in your heart, don’t do it. I don’t want it. I don’t need it.”

The widow was offered to be a guest on Kimmel’s show, but declined, and it looks like she is now focusing on the future. A future that includes running her late husband’s Turn Point organization.
