Diddy moved to Pennsylvania prison as questions linger over his time at Fort Dix

The Bureau of Prisons confirmed Sean Combs’ transfer but declined to explain the reason. The move comes days after reports of a medical incident at his former facility.
Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred from a federal prison in New Jersey to a facility in Pennsylvania, following reports of alleged special treatment behind bars and a reported head injury that prompted a medical visit.
The 56-year-old music mogul was moved from Federal Correctional Institution Fort Dix to Federal Correctional Institution Allenwood Low, a low-security prison in Pennsylvania, on Friday, Oct. 16, according to the Associated Press. The Bureau of Prisons confirmed the transfer but did not disclose why the move was made.
“Decisions about inmate placement are made by the BOP, and we are not in a position to speak to the circumstances surrounding this transfer,” Combs’ spokesperson, Juda Engelmayer, told the AP.
The transfer follows renewed scrutiny of Combs’ time at Fort Dix. Last month, NBC News reported that the Bad Boy Records founder allegedly had access to contraband, including Hennessy and a cellphone, and received personal services from other incarcerated people, including meals, cleaning, and massages.
According to AP, Combs was subsequently placed in the prison’s special housing unit, which separates incarcerated people from the general population for disciplinary or security concerns. He also lost 41 days of good-conduct credit, pushing his projected release date to March 2, 2028, a person familiar with the matter told the outlet.
The move also follows questions about Combs’ health. As TheGrio previously reported, Combs was reportedly transported by ambulance from Fort Dix for medical treatment early on Oct. 10 after suffering a head injury. He reportedly returned to the facility hours later.
At the time, his representative said the legal team was working to confirm the circumstances surrounding the incident. The cause of the reported injury had not been publicly established.
TMZ later reported that Combs had been injured during a fight with another incarcerated person. However, the Bureau of Prisons disputed that account in a statement to the AP, saying the reported fight “did not happen.” The agency has not publicly provided further details about the medical incident.
Combs is serving a 50-month sentence after being convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. His legal team is appealing the conviction and sentence, with the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals yet to issue a ruling following arguments in April.
Meanwhile, Combs’ 19-year-old twin daughters, Jessie and D’Lila Combs, made an appearance on the Hollywood social scene as their father’s transfer made headlines.
According to TMZ, the sisters attended a private party hosted by celebrity talent manager Cade Hudson in Los Angeles on Friday night. The gathering also drew stars including Paris Hilton, Demi Moore, Kathy Hilton, Issa Rae, and Seth MacFarlane.
The sisters, whom Combs shares with the late Kim Porter, were photographed at the event shortly after their father’s relocation. Neither the Bureau of Prisons nor Combs’ representatives have publicly explained the reason for his transfer.
