The multitalented actress and singer recently sat down with Variety for a cover-spread interview, where a game of notable quotes quickly made one thing clear: she’s done talking about ‘Wicked’.

When several of the quotes referenced the record-breaking film, Erivo made her feelings known with honesty. She clarified that her love for the franchise that shattered box-office records will never fade, but after two years of nonstop conversation about it, she’s ready to turn the page.

Cynthia shared:

“Because I feel like I’ve spent the last two years talking about it, and I think that we have an opportunity to talk about something else.

 And I love ‘Wicked,’ but I’ve just talked about it at nauseam.”
