Don’t call it a comeback!

Rapper-turned-comedian T.I. appears to be having the last laugh against any naysayer who ever doubted his commercial relevance after 25 years in the Hip-Hop game.

Thanks to ‘Let ‘Em Know,’ the lead single from his forthcoming final LP ‘Kill the King,’ TIP has killed any uncertainty around his ability to still make hits.

Peruse of the updated Billboard Hot 100 sees ‘Know’ zoom to a new peak of #50. Here are the numbers that powered the placement.

• Streaming ≈ 6.1 million U.S.-based streams
• Sales ≈ 6,500 downloads
• Radio airplay ≈ 5.1 million audience impressions

The handsome combo of streaming, sales, and radio airplay outlined above was just enough to hoist ‘Know’ from its #83 debut last week to #50.

That position is the highest T.I. (born Clifford Harris) has reached on the tally without accompaniment since 2010’s ‘I’m Back‘ peaked at #44 in Spring that same year.

Among all his charted singles, however, Harris last touched the tally’s top 50 when his Lil Wayne-assisted ‘Ball‘ rolled all the way to a #50 peak on the Hot 100 in 2012.

All signs are pointing toward ‘Know’ reaching an even higher height on the hitlist next week, potentially as high as the top 40. If it does, it will be his first top 40 hit since his Keri Hilson-enlisted ‘Got Your Back‘ bounded to #38 in 16 years ago.
