Kehlani continues to unfold good chart news thanks to her R&B smash ‘Folded.’

‘Folded’ hopped to #18 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100. Here are the numbers that powered the placement.

• Digital downloads ≈ 800 sold
• Streams ≈ 11.1 million U.S.-based streams
• Radio airplay ≈ 25.1 million audience impressions

Already logged as a milestone hit in the R&B diva’s logs after becoming her first solo top 40 hit, ‘Folded’ – now at 16 weeks of being printed on the Hot 100 – is also the longest-charting solo smash of her career to date.

The latter personal record was previously held by 2016’s ‘Gangsta‘ which peaked at #41 in 2016 and held onto the chart for 12 weeks.

On Tuesday (October 7), Billboard reported ‘Folded’ ascended to #18 on the Hot 100 – not only marking a first-time visit to the all-genre chart’s top 20 for ‘Lani but also making the Khris Riddick-Tynes-produced song her overall highest-charting hit to date.

It eclipses the Cardi B-led ‘Safe‘ (#26 peak) as the titleholder.

Beyond a handsome response at radio, the ongoing success of ‘Folded’ is due in great part to a series of well-received remixes (see: ‘unFolded‘ and the Mario mix) as well as a viral social media challenged tapped into by the likes of Brandy and JoJo.
