Cardi B shuts down rumors she’s still ‘messing around’ with Offset: ‘Never in your life’

The rapper pushed back after social media speculation suggested she and her estranged husband were secretly seeing each other again.

Cardi B is making one thing clear: Her recent reunion with Offset was about their children—not rekindling their relationship.

The rapper addressed speculation recently after social media posts sparked rumors that she and her estranged husband may have been secretly spending time together following their recent joint celebration for their children.

Screenshots circulating online showed Offset’s reported girlfriend, Melanie Jayda, appearing to repost several posts about women who remain involved with an ex while dating someone else. One post referenced women who “still hook up” with the fathers of their children, prompting speculation online that the posts were about Cardi and Offset.

Cardi wasn’t having it.

In a since-deleted post on X, she responded emphatically: “Never in your life never in THIS life…”

She continued, “mf’ers could go through that man text, phone, whatever… NEVER would you catch me doing that.”

Cardi added, “I don’t flirt, I don’t give no inch of possibility.” She then challenged anyone questioning her to investigate her claims, writing, “Sh-t put a private investigator on me and I put that on my kids life in the name of Jesus!!!”

The speculation comes shortly after Cardi and Offset were seen together at a birthday celebration for their children, Wave and Blossom. Wave turned 5 on Sept. 4, while Blossom turned 2 on Sept. 7. The siblings celebrated with a joint party featuring Disney and “Sonic the Hedgehog” themes, balloon arches, carnival games and a ball pit. 

Wave had specifically wished for his father to attend his birthday, and Offset ultimately showed up for the celebration. Cardi also documented the festivities, including dressing as Minnie Mouse. 

While the family gathering fueled renewed speculation about Cardi and Offset’s relationship, Cardi’s latest comments appear to draw a firm distinction between co-parenting their children and getting back together.

The former couple’s divorce remains unresolved.
