Cardi B did not hold back when quizzed about filing for divorce from husband Offset.

The rapper is on quite the promotional run for her new album, ‘Am I The Drama?,’ and her latest stop – an interview with Gayle King on CBS Mornings – aptly saw her address the various threads of drama in her personal life.

Case in point, her split from the former Migos member after 7 years of marriage.

Speaking on the ongoing discourse around her divorce, Cardi – who announced she is pregnant with Stefon Diggs’ baby – quipped:

“I’m so tired of people associating me with somebody that is from the past. I filed for divorce a year ago. That should be very clear. I don’t deal with that, I don’t mess with that, I don’t have no contact with that.”

When asked about the status of her relationship with Offset now, she admitted all is not well:

“We should be able to raise kids. We should be able to ask each other questions. We should be able to be like, ‘Hey look at what one of the kids just did. Look at this. Look at the report card.’ We should be able to celebrate. But it’s not about the kids. One thing I’m learning it’s not about the kids.”

Continuing, she added that she will unpack more of her feelings on the song ‘Man of Your Word.’

In the here and now, she said of cutting ties with Offset:

“I just wish he was a better person, but it is what it is. Be a better person for your kids.

I think that he has some type of hate in his heart right now. I don’t know how long that’s going to take. That’s always been my wish. I get along with everybody that I dated. We all move on — there shouldn’t be any animosity. Your life, my life, separate.”
