Brian Austin Green is opening up about a chapter from his past that fans never saw coming.

The ‘Beverly Hills, 90210’ alum has confirmed he once dated ‘Martin’ star Tichina Arnold during the height of the 90s, revealing the romance was kept firmly under wraps.

Speaking on the ‘Funny Knowing You’ podcast, Green shared that the pair met while working together and bonded over shared interests, particularly hip-hop culture. However, things became complicated when Arnold made it clear early on their relationship had to remain private. He told host Deon Cole that:

I was in my early 20s. I was living in a culture that wasn’t accepting of me. But there was no way to get out of it because that was just where my brain and my heart were.

“I have someone who I’m attracted to who’s telling me, like, ‘You can’t tell anybody. ‘ I think, for me, it really triggered something like, ‘Oh, OK. I’m not good enough for any of this. You don’t even want your friends to know that you’re hanging out with me.’”

Arnold also discussed her relationship with Green on the same podcast in December, and she spoke about the ending of their romance. She told Cole:

“I said, ‘The reason why we’ve come to the end of our road is because I see you dating all these black women. Now you’re dating me, and you’re not going to end up with a black woman. You’re going to share your riches and your legacy with someone white. And so I’m getting off this train.”

Despite the breakup, Green made it clear there’s no bad blood, calling Arnold “my girl” and stressing their mutual respect remains intact.
