‘Talk About Our Love’ singer Brandy certainly has folks talking since the March 31 release of her highly anticipated memoir ‘Phases.’

When not dropping bombshell revelations about her romantic past with Boyz II Men star Wanya Morris, the GRAMMY winner shared details about private moments with idol Whitney Houston, dished on the origin of her beef with fellow R&B diva Monica, the ups-and-downs of her career, and so much more.

Of particular note were statements about her brother Ray J – namely the public strain fans have noted between the two for most of this decade.

Beyond what’s mentioned in ‘Phases,’ B-Rocka took to the latest edition of ‘Parade‘ magazine to open up even more about the status of their relationship.

In addition to Tuesday’s visits to ‘The View’ and ‘Good Morning America’ (April 1), the promo trail for ‘Phases’ led Bran to ‘Parade’ magazine where she served as covergirl for the month’s issue.

Highlighting several key moments from the book including her time as ‘Moesha,’ ‘Cinderella,’ and much more, the GRAMMY winner spoke candidly about her younger brother (born Willie Ray Norwood Jr.).

“There is distance right now. There are a few things that he’s been doing in the public eye that I don’t condone, and I just feel like loving him from afar right now is best for me and my peace,” she revealed. “But my life with Ray and my connection with him is all throughout the book, and my love for him never wavers.”

Fans of the Norwoods know Ray J made headlines throughout 2024 and 2025 for saying he had been “exiled” from the family and that he and Brandy were not as close as they used to be.  At the time of the admission, he accepted full blame.

By the end of last year, however, the celebrity siblings seemed to have made up and even enjoyed a touching moment on-stage during a stop of Brandy and Monica’s ‘The Boy Is Mine Tour.’
