On the latest iteration of the count, the set opens with a commanding 280,000 equivalent units in its first week, marking the biggest frame for any R&B or Hip-Hop release in nearly a year.
Of that total, streaming led the charge. The project pulled in 166,500 streaming accrued units, powered by 169.5 million on-demand streams of its tracks. Pure sales were equally impressive, clocking 113,000 copies.
Vinyl played a defining role. Roughly 80,000 copies were sold on wax, accounting for about 71% of total sales.
Notably, this marks the first time one of the rapper’s albums has been available on vinyl at the same time as its digital release.
The result is his biggest vinyl week ever and the largest vinyl sales week for any R&B or Hip-Hop album in the past year.
The milestone extends a streak that includes previous #1s like ‘KOD,’ ‘2014 Forest Hills Drive,’ and ‘The Off-Season.’
